  • Truly the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in — exactly as beautiful, peaceful and tasteful as it looks (maybe even more). Our favorite thing was watching birds and wildlife right outside the window. We definitely want to come back.

  • A wonderful place to stay — small, but beautifully and thoughtfully done. Not far from Prague yet it feels nicely remote. Everything was well prepared, and the hosts’ tips were great. We’d happily come back anytime.

Nature, comfort, and time

  • At the entrance, you’re welcomed by a stunning stone mosaic by artist Tereza Tartusa and a hand-crafted 3D artwork by Christoph Gilland.
  • For perfect sound, the cabin is equipped with Bowers & Wilkins hi-fi speakers and a subwoofer, connected to Spotify or Bluetooth.
  • Inside, you’ll find custom-made elements crafted from quality materials, including a large window with views into the forest.
  • The kitchen is not only practical but also a work of art: a modern concrete countertop and upcycled cabinets made from old historic doors by artist Aleš Černý.
  • Cozy warmth is provided by elegant white Jotul stoves, while you relax on a natural Japanese futon.
  • The bathroom, with underfloor heating and a rain shower, features a custom mirror by designer Eliška Montsportová, who also contributed a unique ceramic vase to the space.

Private forest wellness

The highlight is a private wood-fired sauna. From inside, a frameless window opens into the greenery while the HUUM stove crackles softly. After heating up, step outside and plunge into the cooling pond fed by the stream. Finish with an outdoor shower discreetly hidden inside a tree.

Beyond having the entire cabin, you practically have the whole stream valley to yourselves. You can even hear the waterfall from the bed. Cold-plunge lovers will enjoy jumping into the natural swimming pond on the stream, with a bathing area up to 150 cm deep. The valley continues another 70 meters to a second waterfall. Behind the cabin you’ll find a small garden with seating and a fire pit. Although the cabin sits in the easily accessible village of Štěchovice near Prague, it is not in a cabin settlement, it is out of sight, and offers privacy. The nearest opposite cabin is uninhabited.

The famous Máj lookout and more

Štěchovice has been a popular tourist destination for Prague residents since the 19th century, when they would arrive by steamboat. You can still take the same route today – by steamboat from Prague’s embankment to Štěchovice. Back then, tourists would continue to the Svatojánské proudy, the first marked tourist trail in the Czech Republic, created by the Czech Tourist Club in 1889.

You can follow this picturesque path today and enjoy a walk through the Vltava granite, which is popular among boaters, hikers, and climbers. Nearby, you’ll find the famous Máj lookout, offering breathtaking views of the Svatojánské proudy from above. The area around the cabin offers many opportunities for hiking. Right below the cabin runs a popular cycling route along the Vltava and then the Kocába River.

Great shops and dining

In Štěchovice you can dine at the modern Štěchovický maják restaurant or enjoy coffee and cake at Ella má kávu. The village has several shops, including a quality fruit, veg & delicacies store. Don’t miss the renowned salsiccia from Davle at the butcher U Dolejších, which also has a branch here in the village. Prefer a lazy morning in bed? Rohlík can deliver right to the cabin.
